Toubkal Gate : Asni, Imlil

At only 70 km from Marrakech, Imlil is the last step before the ascent of Toubkal and the departure of many hikes in the High Atlas. The peak of Toubkal is the highest peak in North Africa up to 4167 m.
Departure from Marrakech at 9 am. After crossing the gorge of Asni, stop in the village of Asni, known for its weekly market (Saturdays). The road continues to Imlil along a green valley where the mountains play with light.

In Imlil, a ballad is essential. Ability to ride a mule. Head towards the Kasbah, waterfalls and return to the village nestled in the hills of Imlil. Traditional lunch at the inhabitant on the edge of the wadi. Back to Asni then drive to the Kik’s plateau where the valleys follow one another and offer stunning views. Short stop at Takerkoust lake before returning to Marrakech late afternoon.
