Day 1 : Marrakech- Ouarzazate- Dadès valley
Appointment at 8am to your accommodation with your driver who will take you to the 4x4 and leave Marrakech towards the Dades Valley through the Tizi Tichka mountain pass (2260 m) in the High Atlas Mountains.
From Marrakech to Ouarzazate you will like the scenic route, landscapes with changing colors according to the light and Berber villages along the way. You have free time to visit the kasbah of Taourirt in Ouarzazate and have lunch there. Then you progress to the southeast, the green valley of Dades and the valley of roses by the palm of Ouarzazate.
Dinner and night in the Dades Valley.
Day 2 : Dadès valley- Todra gorge - Merzouga dunes (erg Chebbi)
After breakfast, departure from your accommodation at 8am to take the road of 1000 kasbahs dotted with villages. 45 kms further you get to Tineghir with its beautiful palm grove.
You continue to the Todra Gorge (Toghra) where you have free time to go trekking along the canyon about 300 m high, a favorite spot for rock climbers.
Then you continue to Merzouga and the dunes of Erg Chebbi in the Sahara Desert.
Lunch along the road before arriving in Erfoud.
Then you head to the sand dunes of the Erg Chebbi. You sink deeper into the desert until dunes appear in the middle of nowhere.
Sunset sun on back of camels to get to the oasis where the basement is located. You spend the night in the bivouac under nomadic tents or outside under the stars. You can play music and sing with the camel drivers.
Day 3 : Merzouga - Tazarine - Agdz - Ouarzazate
Early in the morning you wake up to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes of Erg Chebbi, followed by breakfast in the basement. Back at the lodge on back of camels for a quick shower.
We then ride up to Rissani, a small town south Moroccan Sahara where we stop to visit a fossil workshop before continuing to the junction of the Draa Valley and Agdz. Then we head north to Ouarzazate after passing through the small volcanic mountains of the Atlas.
Overnight in Ouarzazate.
Day 4 : Ouarzazate - Aït ben Haddou - Telouet - Marrakech
After breakfast, you can enjoy a tour of film sets and studios in Ouarzazate, the "Hollywood of Africa".
Then you visit the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, listed as world heritage by UNESCO in 1987. Ait Ben Haddou has been used to date as a backdrop for two dozen films, including "Gladiator," "Indiana Jones "and" Lawrence of Arabia ". Enjoy this walk through the Ksar to admire the traditional architecture in which the kasbah are built.
We continue our journey to Marrakech through the High Atlas mountains and the Tizi n'Tichka mountain pass.
Break for lunch in the mountains of the Atlas.
Return late afternoon to your accommodation in Marrakech.
